Store Manager – Retail Supermarket

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead a supermarket team, drive profitability and ensure an outstanding customer experience. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, financial control and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and lead a diverse team.
• Communicate brand strategy and motivate staff to deliver excellent service.
• Manage budgets, cash handling, stock accuracy and back‑of‑house processes.
• Plan and execute promotional activities and peak‑trading plans.
• Monitor and reduce stock loss, theft and operational discrepancies.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in food retail.
• Proven leadership, people‑management and coaching abilities.
• Strong time‑management and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Commercial and financial awareness with a track record of delivering results.
