Programme Officer – Disaster Readiness (COFA READY)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Officer to support the COFA READY Component 2 disaster‑readiness project in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The role will assist the Programme Manager (READY) in day‑to‑day implementation of disaster‑readiness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of COFA READY Component 2 initiatives across RMI.
• Assist the Programme Manager (READY) with operational tasks related to disaster readiness activities.
• Work under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Pohnpei and the direct supervision of the Head of Sub‑Officer in RMI.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, Development Studies, Law, Peace and Conflict Studies, Public Policy/Administration, or a related field, with at least two years of relevant professional experience; or a university degree in the same fields with at least four years of relevant experience.
• Degree must be from an accredited university listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
