Technical Support Consultant for Education & ECD Programme (Majuro)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to provide technical, logistical and coordination support for the education and early childhood development (ECD) programme in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Working closely with the Public School System (PSS) and UNICEF’s North Pacific Field Office, the consultant will help ensure coherent implementation of agreed activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist PSS leadership and focal officers in planning and executing education and ECD activities.
• Provide logistical and coordination support between PSS, UNICEF, the Office of the Chief Secretary and other partners.
• Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and track risks and results.
• Prepare regular reports and updates for stakeholders.
• Facilitate synergy across multiple grants and projects, including digital connectivity, capacity building, and solarisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in supporting education programmes or early childhood development initiatives.
• Familiarity with public school systems and government partnerships in Pacific Island contexts.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate multi‑sectoral teams.
