Technical Support Consultant for Education & ECD Programme in Marshall Islands

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to provide technical, logistical, and coordination support for education and early childhood development (ECD) programmes in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Working closely with the Public School System (PSS) and UNICEF’s North Pacific Field Office, the consultant will help ensure effective implementation of multiple education initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist PSS leadership and focal officers in planning and executing agreed activities.
• Provide dedicated technical, logistical, and coordination support to the PSS‑UNICEF partnership.
• Monitor and report on progress, challenges, risks, and results of education and ECD projects.
• Facilitate timely follow‑up on deliverables and ensure coherent implementation across programmes.
• Coordinate with UNICEF, the Office of the Chief Secretary, and other development partners.
• Identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and build synergies across initiatives such as digital connectivity, solarisation, and the Head Start Programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting education or ECD programmes in a Pacific Island context.
• Familiarity with public school systems and government partnerships.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Majuro and travel within the Marshall Islands as needed.
