Associate Project Officer – Gender and Climate Mobility

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Associate Project Officer to support gender and climate mobility initiatives in the Marshall Islands. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Head of Sub‑Office, you will contribute to the Pacific Climate Mobility Partnerships (PCMP) programme and related climate‑mobility projects across the Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and monitoring gender‑inclusive components of climate‑mobility projects.
• Support the preparation, review and quality assurance of project outputs and reports.
• Collaborate with the Programme Manager in Suva, Fiji, and with headquarters units to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
• Facilitate communication among partners, including regional organisations, governments, civil society and technical agencies.
• Contribute to the development of gender and inclusion strategies within project activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Political or Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Public Administration, Law or a related field, or a university degree with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of gender, inclusion and climate‑mobility issues.
• Ability to work under supervision of senior staff and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
