Programme Manager (READY) – Disaster Readiness

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Manager (READY) to lead Component 2 (Disaster Readiness) of the COFA READY project in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and Programme Coordinator, the incumbent will ensure effective implementation of disaster‑readiness activities, alignment with donor requirements, and close collaboration with national authorities and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all activities under Component 2 in the Marshall Islands, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with donor and IOM standards.
• Work closely with the Programme Coordinator (based in Pohnpei) and the Head of Sub‑Office to monitor progress, prepare reports, and adjust work plans as needed.
• Facilitate strong partnerships with the Marshall Islands National Disaster Management Office, government agencies, UN bodies, development partners, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, financial tracking, and procurement processes for the component.
• Provide technical guidance and capacity‑building support to local implementing partners.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., International Development, Disaster Management, Public Administration) or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in managing multi‑partner humanitarian or disaster‑readiness programmes, preferably in the Pacific region.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments and to liaise with government and UN agencies.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and compliance skills.
